One of the key identities of Kingsford Church of Christ is that
we are servants, and as servants we give.
We give to one another, sharing our gifts, resources, time, energy, finances and anything else we have at our disposal so that we can faithfully steward the varied grace that the Lord has given us.
We do this out of earnest love for one another, because we have experienced the earnest love of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Peter 4:8-11).
Our hope with serving at Kingsford Church of Christ is for each of us to serve one another in some capacity,
serving in areas that help us to both grow and flourish.

HOW WE DO ALL OF THIS:
There are a few principles that guide the way we want to serve:
- Serving should be both a challenge and a joy. Jesus Christ served us by giving his life to us for the joy that was set before him. Serving ought to be a joyful experience. To that end, we always encourage people to nominate an area that they would really enjoy serving as well as an area that would stretch them.
- Church isnt a machine, and were not cogs. We dont want to be burning one another out with our expectations, so while its important that we are serving at least once per month, its our policy that no one should be serving more than twice per month, and where we can help it, we try to not let someone serve two weeks in a row. This can't always be helped, especially when people are unavailable or when there are five Sundays in a particular month, but we do our best.
- Good structures protect people. We want to be as organised and as diligent as we can because a good and well-maintained structure allows us to keep these principles. We use an online platform called Elvanto which helps us stay organised, and our simple request is that we do our best to reply to serving invite emails, and keep our unavailabilities up to date. That might not make sense now, but when you start using the app, it will.
